Interest list while the beta is paused
The playable beta is offline. If you join the interest list, Folsom Holdings, LLC stores your email address, signup time, and the site you signed up from in Cloudflare storage to contact you about Trivia Roast returning or opening for testing. We do not sell your email. Contact [email protected] to request access or removal. The site also uses Google Analytics to understand visits. The policy below describes the former beta.

Trivia Roast is operated by Folsom Holdings, LLC, a Maine limited liability company ("we," "us," "our"), which is the controller of the personal data described below.
1. What We Collect
We collect minimal data necessary to operate the Service:
- Device ID: A randomly generated anonymous identifier stored in your browser's localStorage. Not tied to your identity.
- Email address (optional): Only if you voluntarily link one for Pro status recovery.
- Game activity: Daily game count per device for freemium enforcement. Not stored long-term.
- Payment data: Processed entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card number.
2. What We Don't Collect
- A stored name profile — the player name you enter is used only to generate that round's roast, not saved to a profile. To create the roast, that name is sent to our AI provider (see Section 4).
- Location data
- Browsing history
- Biometric data
- Any data from minors under 13
3. How We Use Data
Collected data is used solely to: operate the Service, enforce daily game limits, restore Pro status, and improve the Service. We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes.
4. Third-Party Services
- Stripe: Payment processing. Subject to Stripe's Privacy Policy.
- xAI (Grok): AI question, roast, and voice generation. Game content — including the trivia category, question and answer text, and the player name you enter — is sent to xAI to generate questions and roasts. Subject to xAI's Privacy Policy.
- Railway: Hosting. Subject to Railway's privacy policy.
5. Data Retention
Device records and usage counts are retained for 90 days then automatically deleted. If you link an email, it is retained until you request deletion. Payment records are retained as required by law. Generated roast audio is cached on our servers, keyed to the roast text rather than to your identity, to avoid regeneration.
6. Your Rights
You may request access to, a copy of, or deletion of any data associated with your device ID or email at any time by contacting us. We will fulfill verified requests within 30 days. We do not sell or share your personal information.
